Folsom 2006

C2 and I headed out to San Francisco this past weekend for FOLSOM ' 06.  We stayed here.

After we unpacked and freshened up, we headed out to meet Danilo at the Big MuscleBears  ( BMB ) beer blast.  For once it seemed that I would know more people than C2, but that was quickly not the case.  After about 5 minutes, he had taken the lead. Funny, he spent a better part of the preceding week kidding me for being too "connected" to that site.  It was a great beer blast.  Even though we arrived during the last hour, we had a lot of fun.  Musclebears and beer mix really well.  The end result is a bunch of furry, beefy, frisky guys. C2 and I briefly made contact with "blue eyes" as he was leaving.

We went shopping and then met up with C2s good friend and his partner.  We ended up having dinner in the Castro district.  It was great to finally spend some extended time with them.  Not sure why, but for some reason I was receiving a lot of unwanted attention on this particular night.  Those of you that know me, know that I don't care for anger twinks.  While waiting to be seated at dinner, several of them entered the restaurant.  One of them (who needed to eat a few sandwiches AND not wear so much American Apparel) found it OK to approach me even after I had rejected his advances.  He ended up touching my hair, face and neck.  He then proceeded to whisper in my ear (in a very crude manner with words not suitable for my blog) about how he wanted me to take his boy p**sy and turn it inside out.  All of this in front of other patrons AND to the amusement of C2 and crew.  I actually turned beet red at how direct and explicit he was.  Where do these kids learn these things (Oh wait, it is FOLSOM weekend, ah duh!).

After dinner, C2 and I walked back to Union Square. The unwanted attention continued during our walk.  I haven't decided yet, but I am almost sure I don't like being called papi by a bunch of guys driving by in a car.  Is that the equivalent of a drive-by for gays?  Not that these guys would know this (since I don't have a large sign that reads CUBA on my head - though I did have a t-shirt once but someone cut it up - long story) but Cubans don't like being referred to as Papi or Papi Chulo.  Papi = dad or daddy ( I am neither) and chulo = hustler.  The two words together = PIMP. Enuff said?  The walk back to Union Square was sappy and romantic.

Sunday was off to a running start. We had our typical breakfast of champions and then went to the gym.  Nothing better than pumping up those party muscles!  FOLSOM '06 was a lot of fun.  I could have spent more time walking around than actually hanging out by the big dance, but it was still a lot of fun.  I am little worried that nothing shocked me.  Acutally, I am really worried.  I wish I would have seen more of my personal favorite fetishes (such as guys having their heads shaved, or some DOM/SUB/verbal action). Oh yeah, no fisting.  I promised Eric that I would take pictures for him (since he is such an big fan of fisting).  The one thing that did leave me in "awe" was all the public masturbation.  I have a video clip but I am sure YouTube won't go fot it.  Does San Francisco have no laws in re: to public masturbation?  The cops seemed to just walk right by it.

I did not know that homeless people in SFO have benefits.  From what I was told, they get a locker aand an ATM card with an allowance of $20 a week?  Funny how I am not shocked to see naked people walking around with locks hanging off their testicles or 1 million pins poked through their skin, yet the fact that the homeless have benefits did shock me.  While on the subject of the homeless, they sure as hell are aggressive in their panhandling skills (having benefits and all).  Do they get to deposit their panhandling earnings into thier ATM/Debit card account (to be used later for purchases)?

After many attempts to finally meet John and Vince this past year (LBdawgz on BMB), I finally did.  Very nice couple. After the street fair, we decided to go to dinner and then take a power nap.  I was dying to go to a Taqueria, so we did.  Not sure if that was the best move a few hours before you go dancing.  The Real Bad XV111 party was fun.  I have never seen such a collection of sexy, furry, friendly guys at one party.  The downstairs dance floor was packed, so we spent a few hours dancing on the 3rd floor. C2 and I both suffer from ADD+ v2.1 (which means we meet a lot of people when we go to a party).  Most memorable were Brian and Brian.  The 2 Brian's (as C2 and I labeled them) are a super friendly and sexy couple.  Sorry folks, I don't have a picture of them.  Just take my word for it.  C2 ran into "blue eyes" again but wasn't able to talk much.  Another sappy/romantic moment back in the hotel shower.

Since C2 had to work on Monday, I did the tourist thing.  I spent almost 5 hours walking through Chinatown, Telegraph Hill, North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf, The Cannery, Golden Gate Park, Russian Hill and Nob Hill.  We had dinner in North Beach and then headed back to the hotel for another sappy/romantic moment.  On Tuesday morning he headed to work and I did some more touristy stuff before heading to the airport.

The weekend, weather, people, food and events were all great.  Hopefully we will be back out there soon enough.  Now, if we could just figure out a way to get the 2 Brian's out here for a weekend (I am sure they would be a hit @ The Eagle for Sunday beer blast).....and yes, we are still looking for "blue eyes."
